The Drin-Buna river basin is located in the South Western Balkans. The river basin is shared between Albania, Greece, Macedonia, Montenegro and Kosovo. Sub-basins are formed by the Black Drin, the White Drin, the Buna (Bojana), as well as the lakes Prespa, Ohrid, and Shkodër. In addition to these natural lakes, the Drin water basin includes several reservoir cascades.
